We co-create Curriculum.

At Western, a significant amount of the work that we do revolves around curriculum co-creation.

At Western, we care about Curriculum and involving students in the Co-Creation process.

WSU students are at the table when curriculum is being planned, approved, designed, taught, evaluated and improved on. In the routine cycle of curriculum development, students’ perspectives are no longer only represented through feedback surveys, they participate in ideas generation; they test and expand staff ideas; they research the latest pedagogical practices; and they create resources and learning activities. In turn, staff learn the capabilities and talents students have, and students learn exactly what it takes for a teacher / lecturer to design learning experiences that are engaging, authentic and that focus on support students to shape their path to success.

Curriculum Project 2: An Entire Unit of Study at WSU

We Are The University: Students Co-Creating Change.

This project-based unit offers students a chance to learn, negotiate and practise change-making skills in, and for, our University, Western Sydney University. At the heart of this unit is student partnership, curriculum co-creation, and an invitation for students to be involved in improving the educational experience at Western.
