We Lead Initiatives

Aside from the work we do in curriculum co-creation that is led by the Curriculum Champions, we also lead a variety of initiatives that
support our University to scale Student-Staff Partnership.

Projects we’re leading at WSU.

From hosting the National Students as Partners Roundtable in 2021 to co-creating a subject about Student-Staff Partnership, we are developing the institutional mechanisms designed to scale Partnership.

Our Latest Initiative

The Partnership
X-Change Hub

Supporting more staff and more students to
experience the world of Student-Staff Partnership.

Projects We Have Initiated

  • An Elective Subject - for Western students

This project-based unit offers students a chance to learn, negotiate and practise change-making skills in, and for, our University, Western Sydney University. At the heart of this unit is Student-Staff Partnership, curriculum co-creation, and an invitation for students to be involved in improving educational experiences at Western.

  • A Curiosity Pod - for Western students

Curiosity Pods (C-Pod) are short, online and free learning experience for WSU students. This particular C-Pod introduces students to the concept of a “Partnership Mindset”. It equips them with the knowledge they need to be a curious, empathetic and effective student partner. The Curiosity Pod is embedded in the “We Are the University” subject (HUMN 3108).

  • A Professional Learning Program for Staff

#PartnerUP is a short online learning program for Western staff who are curious about Student-Staff Partnership. It draws on our University’s commitment to Partnership Pedagogy and focuses on empowering value-driven relationships and change-driven conversations between our staff and students. Available to staff from September 2022.

The 2021 National
SAP Roundtable

The 21C Student Curriculum Partners hosted the National Students as Partners Roundtable in 2021.
