The National SAP Roundtable is always a must-go-to event on our calendar each year. The Roundtable brings together students and staff already working in partnership, with those wanting to work differently, in partnership.

Over 3 days of dedicated listening, learning and talking we came away with richer ideas and clarity about how to proceed, thanks in part to our Uni Qld mentors, Associate Professor Kelly Matthews and Caelan Rafferty.

Today, students had ALL the power! Roles were reversed at the Student Voice Australia Summit, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) where over 100 students from 26 different institutions across Australia joined together to celebrate and challenge what it means to be a student in a changing world.

21C Student Partner Kathy Nguyen and I had the pleasure of attending the 2019 Women of the West Awards on 8thMarch in a stunning celebration of International Women’s Day.

In December, the 21C SAPS had the chance to spend a day with Dr Jennifer Fraser, Director of Student Partnerships, Centre for Teaching Innovation at the University of Westminister.

In October 2018, six of the 21C SAPs attended the 4th annual National Students as Partners Roundtable at the University of Queensland. Our work on #WeAreTheUniversity: students co-creating change drew the attention of Roundtable co-curator Kelly Matthews, and we were graciously invited to participate in a 30-minute panel where we could present our story, answer questions, and receive feedback on the unit.
